About Us

Open Arms Child Advocacy Center is a community based and child friendly facility designated to coordinate child forensic interviews and services to victims of child sexual abuse in Mecosta, Osceola, Newaygo and Lake Counties.

Our center is located in White Cloud, MI within the Center for Hope and Healing. Our facility offers a child friendly atmosphere where the children coming in for interviews can feel safe and comfortable. Our building is equipped with two interview rooms and two separate observation rooms where team members can observe the interview in progress without having to interact directly with the child. We also have a large play area, a family meeting room, and a play therapy room. In addition, we are working on finishing our medical exam room which would then allow children to have medical exams on site instead of having to travel to neighboring counties.

All of our interviews are conducted by staff who have undergone specific, detailed training to become a certified Forensic Interviewer. The goal is to allow a child to feel comfortable enough to disclose what has happened to them without them feeling intimidated, scared, or pressured to do so.
